BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. Incomes of the deficit-free budget of Azerbaijan’s Unemployment Insurance Fund are expected to make up 212.6 million manat ($125 million) in 2023, Trend reports on November 4 via the conclusion of the Azerbaijani Chamber of Accounts on the draft state budget for next year.

According to the conclusion, this is 17.3 percent more than the forecast for 2022.

In the structure of incomes for 2023, revenues in the form of insurance premiums from unemployment will amount to 159.5 million manat ($93.8 million), of which 144.7 million manat ($85.1 million) will account for the private sector.

According to the chamber, the fund potential allows it to accumulate more funds, because, actual revenues are expected to reach 229.9 million manat ($135.2 million) by the end of 2022.

In the structure of expenditures for 2023, the majority of them (87.5 million manat or $51.4 million) will account for funds allocated for the organization of self-employment activities, and 44.7 million manat ($26.3 million) - for the maintenance of the apparatus of the State Employment Agency and its local bodies, as well as the National Observatory on Labor Market and Social Protection Affairs.

The expenditures will also include 35 million manat ($20.6 million) for co-financing of the activities of the DOST [Sustainable and Operative Social Provision] Agency on the organization of social services, 22 million manat ($12.9 million) – for vocational training and organization of additional education, and 11 million manat ($6.4 million) - unemployment insurance payment.

The total expenditures on ensuring employment of the population in 2023 will amount to 133 million manat ($78.2 million), which is 53.8 million manat ($31.6 million), or 67.9 percent more than in 2021, and 25.4 million manat ($14.9 million), or 23.6 percent more than the forecast for 2022.
