BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. The credit portfolio of Azerbaijani banks totaled 19.59 billion manat ($11.59 billion) as of December 31, 2022, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to the bank, this figure grew by 17.62 percent against the same period of 2021.
Thus, the banks' loan portfolio amounted to 16.65 billion manat ($9.78 billion) in December 2021.
Out of total loans, business loans accounted for 55.4 percent (10.85 billion manat ($6.37 billion), growth of 11.45 percent year over year), consumer loans – 29.36 percent (5.75 billion manat ($3.38 billion), growth of 27.36 percent), mortgage loans – 15.24 percent (2.985 billion manat ($1.75 billion), growth of 24.38 percent year over year) in the reporting month.
