BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 24. The Money Supply Rate (М2) in Azerbaijan amounted to 28.9 billion manat ($16.98 billion) as of February 1, 2023, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
According to the bank, this figure increased by 5.8 billion manat ($3.4 billion) or 25.1 percent against the same period of 2021 (23.1 billion manat or $13.57 billion).
The cash money supply in circulation (M0) grew by 2.97 billion manat ($1.7 billion) or 28.91 percent year over year – from 10.28 billion manat ($6.04 billion) to 13.258 billion manat ($7.8 billion).
Meanwhile, the broad money supply (M3) has risen by 7.367 billion manat ($4.3 billion) or 21.26 percent reaching 42.01 billion manat ($24.68 billion) against 34.6 billion manat ($20.3 billion) a year earlier.
The transaction money (M1) edged up by 4.9 billion manat ($2.87 billion) or 25.02 percent year over year – from 19.76 billion manat ($11.6 billion) to 24.707 billion manat ($14.5 billion).
