Iran’s services sector gets $42.8 billion loans in two months

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. Iranian banks issued loans worth approximately 1.8 quadrillion rials (about $42.8 billion) in the services sector, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), Trend reports.

Of the mentioned amount, over 291 trillion rials (about $6.93 billion) was issued for the establishment of enterprises and facilities in the services sector of Iran.

Also, Iranian banks issued loans worth 1.4 quadrillion rials (about $33.3 billion) as working capital in the services sector within 2 months.

At the same time, the banks issued loans worth about 71.4 trillion rials (about $1.7 billion) for the development of enterprises and 12.4 trillion rials ($294 million) for self-employment in the services sector for 2 months.

Moreover, 7.75 trillion rials (about $185 million) worth of loans were issued for the purchase of housing, 4.53 trillion rials (about $108 million) for repair work, and 11 trillion rials (about $262 million) for the purchase of personal assets in the services sector.

In total, the Iranian banks issued loans worth approximately 4.49 quadrillion rials (about $107 billion) in various economic sectors for 2 months.
