BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6. Tax revenues in Iran amounted to 1.37 quadrillion rials (about $32.7 billion), during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), compared to the same month in the last year, Trend reports.
According to the report of Iranian National Tax Administration (INTA), of the mentioned amount, 806 trillion rials (about $19.2 billion) are direct taxes, while approximately 566 trillion rials (about $13.5 billion) are taxes on goods and services.
Tax revenues from legal entities for the reporting period stood at 456 trillion rials (about $10.9 billion) of direct taxes.
In 3 months, income taxes in the country amounted to approximately 272 trillion rials (about $6.47 billion), while wealth taxes – 77.9 trillion rials (about $1.85 billion).
As reported, Iranian National Tax Administration focuses on increasing tax revenues in a transparent manner. The organization takes steps to support production in accordance with the current economic situation in the country.
In overall, tax revenues in Iran amounted to 4.7 quadrillion rials (about $112 billion) in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023). This is increase of 54 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
