BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25. The deposit portfolio of banks in Azerbaijan grew by 2.7 percent (329.5 million manat, or $193.8 million) to 32.05 billion manat ($18.8 billion) in June 2023, Trend reports.
According to the statistical bulletin of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), 61.1 percent or 19.58 billion manat ($11.5 billion) of the deposit portfolio fell on deposits of legal entities, 38.9 percent or 12.47 billion manat ($7.3 billion) on deposits of individuals, and 52.9 percent or more than 6.59 billion manat ($3.8 billion) on time deposits.
In June this year, the dollarization of individual deposits decreased by 2.6 percentage points compared to the beginning of the year and by 3.6 percentage points compared to the same period of the previous year, amounting to 36.6 percent.
The total liabilities of the country's banks exceeded 39.3 billion manat ($23.1 billion), and balance capital was about 5.9 billion manat ($3.4 billion).
