Ranking of Azerbaijani banks by volume of authorized capital revealed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 19. The International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) took first place in terms of authorized capital among local banks in the third quarter of 2023, Trend reports.

The data from the IBA's balance sheet revealed that the volume of the bank's authorized capital amounted to 1.2 billion manat ($710 million).

Yelo Bank took the second position with a total authorized capital of 378 million manat ($222.3 million).

Xalq Bank ranked third with an authorized capital of over 364.7 billion manat ($214.5 million), followed by PASHA Bank (354.5 million manat or $208.5 million) and VTB Bank (315.8 million manat or $185.7 million).

Thus, the authorized capital of the first three banks totaled 1.9 billion manat ($1.1 billion), or 54.23 percent of the total authorized capital of 10 banks in Azerbaijan (3.63 billion manat or $2.14 billion), or 42.46 percent of the total volume of all banks in Azerbaijan (4.63 billion manat or $2.7 billion).
