BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 23. Azerbaijan's state budget revenues in the first quarter of this year exceeded the forecast by 8.07 percent, or 659.5 million manat ($387.7 million), Trend reports.
According to the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan, the country's state budget revenues exceeded 9.2 billion manat ($5.4 billion), which is 11.4 percent more than the indicator for the same period last year.
State budget expenditures reached 8.4 billion manat ($4.9 billion), which is 28.1 percent more than the same period in 2023.
Thus, by the end of March 2024, the state budget had a surplus of 821.7 million manat ($483 million).
To note, Azerbaijan's state budget revenues increased by 16 percent in 2023, reaching 35.5 billion manat ($20.8 billion). Expenditures of the state budget reached 36.4 billion manat ($21.3 billion), which is 13.7 percent higher than from January through December 2022.
Therefore, at the end of December 2023, the state budget had a deficit of 883.7 million manat ($519.4 million).
