BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 6. The Unified Platform on ESG in Azerbaijan aims to strengthen interaction between public and private structures on climate action issues, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva said at the conference “For Sustainable Development of Azerbaijan: Presentation of the Unified Platform and National Standard on Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG)”, Trend reports.

“ESG can help businesses reduce their carbon footprint, attract investment in sustainable supply chains, promote social and gender equality, and ensure transparent governance. Embedding ESG principles into companies' strategies contributes to achieving global climate goals. The platform, led by the Business Environment and International Ratings Commission, brings together stakeholders from different sectors - public and private entities, civil society, and international partners - to strengthen collaboration and climate action. It will be an online hub with ESG resources, tools, and best practices,” she noted.

To remind, a presentation of the "Unified Digital Platform for ESG" concept took place this September in Baku.

The ESG digital platform is not only a management and control tool but also a powerful resource for integrating sustainable practices into daily business operations. It provides companies with access to up-to-date information on best practices and analytical tools to assess their achievements in environmental, social, and corporate governance. A key feature is real-time monitoring and reporting, allowing companies to quickly adjust their strategies and respond to changes in stakeholder demands and expectations. This enhances transparency and builds trust between businesses and society.
