Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Babayeva / By the end of November, all postal branches and department of Azerpocht State Enterprise will join main network of national information delivery AzDatacom, a source stated in the enterprise.
The postal department of Apsheron and Sumgayt are also planned to join the network by the end of November.
Generally 116 postal departments, 45 postal agencies and 6 postal branches will join the network by the end of the year.
Baku section of the main network of national information delivery, AzDatacom with a discharge capacity of 10 Gbps, has been put into operation.
Work over establishing AzDatacom is carried out in two stages; the first stage covers Baku and the second covers other regions and cities of Azerbaijan.

In the near future a circular network with the capacity of 1Ggps will be into operation.
The project is carried out under the technical assistance program "National E-Governance Network Initiative" realized jointly with the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications & Information Technology and United Nations Development Program, and is one of the measures included in the State Program for Development of Information & Communication Technology in Azerbaijan (E-Azerbaijan) in 2004-2008.
