Meeting on Regional Cooperation for Communication to be Held in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan, Baku, 31 March / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The meeting of Regional Cooperation for Communication (RCC) will be held in Ganja City of Azerbaijan. According to the organization, the joint meeting of the Council of RCC Electrical Communication Operators and RCC Commission on electrical communication is scheduled for 9 and 10 April. The proposals of workers will be considered during the meeting:
- communication net management at the RCC Commission on electrical communication to raise reliability and capability of nets on intergovernmental directions,
- information security on interaction of communication nets
-development and introduction of new electric communication services.
-mutual connection of nets of PCC communication packages
Communication Administration (CA) will discuss preparations to World Assembly on Standardization of Electric Communication of International Electric Communication Union, allocation of transit communication channels on the territory of bordering states, as well as within the framework of the three-side agreements which envisages mutual beneficial conditions for PCC member-countries operators. Introduction of universal services ( Azerbaijan, Belorussia, Moldova and Ukraine), introduction of broad band wireless access systems (operators of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan) and control over activity of operators and quality of services (CA Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan).
The agenda includes discussions of joint work of telecommunication networks of the next generation through the use of differently-made equipment. The experience of introduction (operators Azerbaijan, Belorussia, Kazakhstan and Russia), the development of cooperation between operators of RSS electric communication, main directions of work of Council of Operators until 2010 and proposals on workshops in 2009 and 2010.
The date and place of the next 23/19 joint meeting will be specified by the participants of the meeting. There are plans to hold the meeting in Uzbekistan in the end of September and early October. Iltimas Mamamdov, Azerbaijani Communication and IT Minister, is expected to participate at the meeting.
