According to the company, starting from January 2009, Mr. Ali Aьan will execute the functions of the President of Azercell Telecom LLC. Since May 2008, Mr.Ali Aьan has been at the position of Vice President of Azercell Company.

During the Vice Presidency of Mr.Ali Aьan, many important events have been realized by the Company, and I am confident that in his quality as to the President of the Company, he will continue his successful activities," said Mr.Tero Kivisaari, the President of TeliaSonera Eurasia Group of Companies while commenting this new appointment.
Former President of Azercell Telecom LLC Mr.Halim Ateш will continue his work as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of TeliaSonera Eurasia Group of Companies.
Under the leadership of Mr.Ateш, Azercell has gained more success by maintaining its pace of dynamic development. Government owned shares in Azercell have been privatized; number of subscribers has increased by 105% and reached 3.5 million; number of installed radio base stations has passed 1,500.
