The Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry State Post Operator Azerpocht together with the Holland Company FACP have developed a strategy and business plan for 2009-2011.
The documents include the development of priority areas and its main goals, on which the development of individual tactical and operational plans were started. Thus, according to financial services (integration of financial services, payment systems, foreign exchange and financial markets, risk management, the installation of the internal control system,) four tactical plans have been designed.
Tactical plans are being developed for the postal area (accordance with national standards, establishment and improvement tracking systems, improving the security of postal products, rapid market expansion of postal services and logistics services).
The tactical plans will be completed before the end of May.
Azerpocht will begin to provide financial services under the joint World Bank project "Development of financial services", aimed at modernizing the postal network of the country in 2009.
The project is estimated at $17.5 million loan and $12.25 million provided by WB, the rest accounted - by the Azerbaijani Ministry and the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA).
Azerpocht includes 59 post offices, two postal companies, two affiliated companies, and eight nodes. Over 4,000 people are occupied in the company.
