Short-term disruptions are probable while using telephone, in connection with the ongoing work on transfer number capacity of automatic telephone exchange 423 to NGN technology (Next Generation Network) from March 2, Baku Telephone Communication under the Communication and IT Ministry reported.
After transfer of number capacity of automated telephone exchange on NGN technology digit 4 (423) will be replaced by 3 (323) with preservation of the following six-digit phone number.
At present share of ATS constructed on the basis of NGN by city network made up 50 percent. Introduction of NGN for Baku telephone communications is one of the priorities, which will enable the operator to achieve sustainable growth of the segment of new services in the long- term perspective. The new system allows the operator to provide the citizens, along with traditional types of communication services as well as IP telephony services, broadband Internet and IP-TV
