Azerbaijan ranks fifth on the number of visits to Mail.Ru portal among post-Soviet countries, the company said today.
According to the company's statistics, over the last week 692,000 users from Azerbaijan visited Mail.Ru portal.
The top four countries visiting the Internet portal include Russia (39.817 million users), Ukraine (7.199 million users), Kazakhstan (2.947 million users) and Belarus (1.713 million users).
On this indicator, Azerbaijan leaves Moldova behind (644,000 users), as well as Uzbekistan (498,000), Georgia (397,000), Armenia (341,000), Estonia (262,000), Kyrgyzstan (237,000), Latvia (227,000), Lithuania (168,000), Tajikistan (71,000) and Turkmenistan (54,000).
On the number of visits to Mail.Ru e-mail account, Azerbaijan also ranks fifth, with the number of visits at 591,000. The top four countries visiting mail project Mail.Ru include Russia (32.843 million), Ukraine (5.133 million), Kazakhstan (2.693 million users) and Belarus (1.407 million).
On this indicator, Azerbaijan also leaves Moldova behind (506000 users), as well as Uzbekistan (479,000), Georgia (299,000), Armenia (286,000), Kyrgyzstan (241,000), Estonia (226,000), Latvia (116 000), Lithuania (116,000), Tajikistan (69,000) and Turkmenistan (30,000).
As Mail.Ru Portal Vice President Alexei Katkov told Trend earlier, Company Mail.Ru has serious plans to have access to the CIS countries. The company has already created localized versions of various projects, such as [email protected], [email protected], [email protected], [email protected] and etc., to name some of them.
"We are interested in the Azerbaijani Internet market, and we intend to develop special versions of our services for Azerbaijan in the future," Katkov said.
Last year Mail.Ru introduced special versions of the project [email protected] for Kazakhstan and Belarus.
On the number of visits to Novosti project, Azerbaijan, as a result of the last week, ranked sixth with 61,000 visits - after Russia (6.693 million), Ukraine (961,000), Kazakhstan (529,000), Belarus (302,000) and Moldova (64,000).
