TeliaSonera announces volumes of income on Azerbaijani telecommunication market

TeliaSonera company noted revenue growth on the market of Azerbaijan as a result of the second quarter of 2010, the company said.

According to the company, net sales in local currency increased by 3,3 percent over the period.

The total income of the company on the Azerbaijani market decreased by 5 percent up to 3 billion 829 million Swedish kronor (SEK) in 2009 up to 3 billion 635 million SEK in 2010.

In 2010 capital expenditures of the company amounted to approximately 400 million SEK, spent for the purchase of 3G-licenses in Kazakhstan and additional frequencies LTE in Uzbekistan.

TeliaSonera operates in 20 countries with a population of more than 460 million people. As of late 2009, the number of subscribers of the companies, which shares are owned by the "TeliaSonera", exceeded 147.6 million.

Fintur Holdings BV, in which TeliaSonera owns 74 percent, owns shares in Azercell, which is a mobile operator in Azerbaijan.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the rate of the manat to the Swedish krona is 1 Swedish krona - 0.1239 manat on Feb. 3.
