The Azerbaijani Communications and Information Technologies Ministry has temporary ensured communications in the Masalli region where a telecommunications node building was damaged as a result of a strong explosion, the ministry said on Tuesday.
The work of international channels has been ensured. The terms for the full restoration of communications in the region will be known after the commission on clarifying the causes of the explosion completes its work, the ministry said.
Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov signed a decree on the allocation of 5,000 manat to the families of those who were killed in the explosion, as well as compensation to those who were injured.
As a result of the explosion on Monday afternoon, the bodies of two dead and two injured people were found in the ruins of the building. Several others were also injured.
An investigation is underway.
