The volume of income of the Internet market in Azerbaijan grew by 1.6 times and amounted to 489,000 manat in January, Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry's Finance and Economic Analysis Department's leading adviser Jahandar Gadirov told Trend on Friday.
Gadirov said the growth was also recorded in the production of IT-products which, according to indicators of the State Statistics Committee, grew by 2.5 times in the January. This figure compared rose by 7.9 million manat and reached 13.2 million manat compared to January 2010.
"The greatest growth in the production of IT-products was recorded in the production of computers, peripherals, devices receiving record sound and images, as well as optical carriers," Gadirov said.
The decline was recorded in the field of wholesale sales of software, computers and peripheral equipment.
