Azerbaijan, Baku, April 7 / Trend H. Valiyev /

The recent developments related to the earthquake and radiation in Japan may affect the equipment supplied to Azerbaijan, the chairman of AZEL board of directors Rasim Ibrahimov said.

He said that one of the Japanese partners have already reported about the problems with the delivery of technique. It points to the future changes in the retail segment.

"A month ago one of our Japanese partners offered us special prices on the products," he said. But, unfortunately, after that situation, we can not confirm them. The products will be sold at standard prices."

Nevertheless, if there are price spikes, AZEL will try to neutralize them by reducing the profits.

Regarding with the local production of computers (Lazer), he said that today it is not the highest priority, because there is great competition in the market.

"The profitability of this business for the company is not very high," he said. But we do not intend to cease this business as the situation can change for the better."
