The U.S. insurance company MARSH is interested in providing insurance services to Azerbaijan for its first national telecommunications satellite.
MARSH representatives have already held preliminary talks with Azercosmos.
Marsh is the world's largest insurance broker and consultant in risk management.
World business leaders such as CityCorp, BarclaysBank, Deloitte & Touche, Coca-Cola, General Motors, Bosch, British Telecom, Deutsche Telekom and others can be noted among the company's clients.
Based on preliminary information, the terms and requirements for insurers are being prepared to determine the insurer and a tender will begin in September. The winner will be chosen by late this year.
The world's largest insurance companies will be considered as potential insurance companies.
The country seeks to attract foreign insurer due to the local insurance companies' lack of opportunities to fully take on such huge risks. This does not exclude the possibility of participation of foreign insurance companies in partnership with a local insurer.
