The share of notebooks in the Azerbaijani computer market reaches 55 percent, Ultra Company CEO Tahir Mirkishili told Trend on Wednesday.
Mirkishili said the ratio of desktops computers and laptops in the structure of sales is around 60 to 40 percent.
"Today, an average consumer is more likely to purchase a laptop computer. Desktop computers are also still preferred product in the corporate sector," Mirkishili said.
The Communications and IT Ministry reported that the computer market has increased in 6.5 times over the past six years. 15 personal computers account for every 100 people.
Players of the computer market mark a 20 percent increase in personal computer market in 2010. They are confident that the development pace will continue in 2011, to which the state program "E-Azerbaijan" primarily contributes.
