Despite the existing problems in network of communication operator - CATEL company, today about 20,000 numbers of stationary segment is fully functional, Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Iltimas Mammadov said on Thursday.
However, with regard to restoration of a normal work of the operator's mobile segment, it is constantly on the agenda and is regularly discussed with CATEL, specialists from other operators, as well as the Communications and IT Ministry, Mammadov said.
The Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry is considering the possibility of transferring a CDMA segment of the CATEL communications operator to the Azerfon mobile operator, and its stationary segment to the Baku Telephone Communications (BTRIB), Minister Ali Abbasov said earlier.
CATEL has recorded problems since April 1, leading to the shutdown of a network of subscribers operating in the CDMA standard (with index numbers 417, 418 and 415, as well as the number of mobile network Fonex, starting with the zoning code 040).
