Microsoft Azerbaijan has launched the live@edu project for Azerbaijani educational institutions, the company said on Wednesday.

Live@edu service is an electronic mailbox in domain of educational institution, which enables to get access to services and applications that help to get education, communicate and manage their time.

The new service will allow every teacher and student to get own email account (firstname.lastname @ teacher.edu.az), which in turn will make education process more efficient.

Interface of live@edu service is available free of charge. Schools can contact at: [email protected] to receive e-mail addresses for teaching staff.

The service is available in those schools where the project "e-school" has been already implemented. Trainings on use of this service will be organized for teaching staff.

As part of the live@edu service Azerbaijani teachers will also receive a personal electronic calendar, the ability to connect to the community, 25 GB disk space, as well as online-version of Microsoft Office program software package. Here, teachers can cooperate both in twosome and in a group, share large files, as well as get an opportunity to cooperate over files. Presence of personal e-mail addresses for teachers will create conditions to form corporate relations in Azerbaijan's education system.
