Azerbaijani Ministry completes working over AzDATACOM network

The operations on covering the whole territory of Azerbaijan by Internet infrastructure AzDATACOM will be completed by October, Deputy Director of Information and Computing Centre under the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry Sahib Najafov told Trend.

He said that the operations are held to install the necessary telecommunication equipment in Sheki-Zagatala region.

"At present, the whole territory is covered by AzDATACOM, except for Gakh, Zagatala, Balakan, Oguz, and Yardimli regions," he said. "All these regions will be covered by Internet infrastructure AzDATACOM until October."

The operations are implemented to expand AzDATACOM's segment within the "E-government network national initiative."
The network is created on fiber-optic lines. It allows ensuring high speed and quality of data transmission between the regional branches of organizations and organizations using VirtualPrivateNetwork (VPN).

The network capacity is 10 Gbit / s.
