Azerfon congratulated the Caucasus University with the start of academic year giving 25 top-scoring students valuable presents.
On September 15, Azerfon participated in the event devoted to the start of a new academic year in Caucasus University. During the event Azerfon congratulated the faculty and students of the Caucasus University with the start of a new academic year and awarded students who had obtained 600-700 scores with valuable gifts.
During his speech at the event Elshad Farzaliev, Head of Corporate Communications Department of Azerfon noted that the company has always supported the development of local ICT capacity. "On behalf of Azerfon I would like to congratulate the Caucasus University, known for its quality education and well-educated alumni with the start of academic year. It is a great honor for us to award the 4 students of Caucasus University who got 700 scores and received Presidential Stipends, as well as 21 students that entered the University with over 600 score. It should be noted that most of these 25 students have chosen to major in computer engineering. This fact proves that Azerbaijan has a great potential to become successful ICT country in future", - said E. Farzaliev.
The representative of Azerfon pointed out that support to education related projects is one of the key directions of Corporate Social Responsibility policy of the company. E. Farzaliyev mentioned the summer internship program of Azerfon that is run for two years already and provides a unique opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience in telecom field. As a part of this internship program a dozen of students from various technical faculties get 3-months paid placement at Azerfon, and under mentorship of telecom professionals they gain real practical experience.
At the end of the event Azerfon representative awarded 25 top-scoring students with 3G mobile internet data cards.
