Mobile phone operator Bakcell's share in the Azerbaijani market now exceeds 35 per cent, the company's CEO Mr. Richard Shearer told journalists on Monday.
He said the company now has the largest network of base stations in the Azerbaijani market, reaching 2500 units. These stations are able to render services in both 2G, and 3G standards.
He went on: "As soon as we are given the relevant range of communications frequency and license, we will be ready to deploy these 3G services in Azerbaijan."
He said Bakcell has been regularly testing the network and can categorically say his company's results show its network's technical capability is superior to other players in the Azerbaijani mobile communication market.
