Azerbaijani mobile operator, Azercell Telekom LLC plans to launch "mobile finance" service for its subscribers, head of VAT department Leyla Mammadova said at the press-conference on Friday.
According to Mammadova, the service will allow to make payments of goods and services in the country, and also to make money transfers within Azerbaijan and abroad.
"Launch of "mobile finance" service is expected by mid-2014. Connection to the service does not require change of Sim-card," Mammadova said.
Azercell Telecom LLC was founded in 1996. With 53% share of Azerbaijan's mobile market Azercell's network covers 99,8% of the country's population. By the end of 2012 the number of Azercell's subscribers reached 4,4 million people.
