The ICT Commission under Azerbaijan Entrepreneurs Confederation initiates the establishment of an Association of IT Companies in the country, the Commission head Ismayil Alakbarov told Trend.
“The new staff of the presidium will be formed as part of the Confederation congress to be held July 5. Creating the Association of IT Companies is important, and we are now working to establish it in the shortest possible time,” Alakbarov said.
He also said the ICT Commission plans to create a representative office of Azerbaijani IT companies in Silicon Valley, US.
“We intend to solve this issue with the assistance of our partners in the US,” he explained.
Alakbarov added that in addition to Silicon Valley, the Commission may eye cooperation with technology centers in Los Angeles and Atlanta.
