The Azerbaijan National Aviation Academy will test the advanced Aran 2 hexacopter drone model.
The test will check whether the drone can lift a payload of up to 20 kilograms to a height of about two kilometers, the National Aviation Academy told Trend July 27.
“The main goal is to reach the maximum time of autonomous flight,” the academy said. “Theoretically the flight time can reach 40 minutes, but exact data will be known only after the tests."
The drone can be used for military and civil purposes. It has already been proposed to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations.
