Postal operators of Azerbaijan and Turkey will cooperate in the field of electronic commerce (e-commerce), a source in the Azerbaijani postal communications market told Trend, Aug. 21.
According to the source, this envisages the involvement of Azerbaijan’s postal operator Azerpost LLC in the epttavm.com project, which is the e-commerce platform of the Turkish postal operator.
“Commercial sales of more than 10,000 items are currently organized through this e-commerce platform. The postal operator of Turkey is considering the possibility of connecting the postal platform of Azerbaijan to this platform, which also will enable the acceptance of electronic payments along with provision of the mail delivery services,” said the source.
Cooperation of the two countries’ postal operators in this area may already begin before the end of 2017.
