In January-August 2017, Android’s share increased by 10.7 percent in the Azerbaijani operating system market, the Global Stats said Sept. 18.
Android is the most popular operating system in Azerbaijan. As of September 1, 2017, it ranks first with a 47.4 percent share in the operating system market.
Android’s market share increased by 20.7 percent compared to the same period of 2016.
The market share of Windows operating systems by Microsoft decreased by 8.7 percent in January-August 2017.
Microsoft's Windows operating systems rank second in the OS market with a 36.9 percent share.
The Windows OS share in the Azerbaijani operating system market shrank by 12.7 percent in January-August 2017 compared to the same period of 2016.
Apple's iOS with a 8.87 percent share ranked third, followed by OS X (2.14 percent), less popular operating systems (1.78 percent) and Nokia's Series 40 (0.96 percent). iOS market share decreased by 15.2 percent compared to early 2017.
