The issue of creating the investors’ club in the IT field in Azerbaijan will be considered before the end of this month, a source in the country’s IT market told Trend.

The potential club members will gather to discuss issues of supporting the development of prospective innovative projects.

“The investors’ club will consist mainly of big local IT companies,” the source noted. “The main idea of the club’s formation is that startupers wouldn’t be dependent solely on state support, so that they could find new investors, get opportunity to commercialize their projects and bring them to the international market.”

Earlier, the source said that local IT companies, namely, Sinam, BestComp, Neuron Technologies, Azercell, Enginet, Hesab.az and a number of other companies were to be included in the investors’ club.

This is an ordinary form of investment activity, which envisages the participation of investors in the development of the project as shareholders. The creation of such a club is important because it will allow commercializing ideas that require financial injections.
