Single standards will be applied on the financial market of Azerbaijan for establishment and management of IT infrastructure, a source in the country's telecommunications market told Trend on March 13.
The source said that work is currently underway to prepare legal frameworks and relevant standards in this area.
"The work in this direction has been launched recently. Such structures as Azerbaijan's Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA) and the Azerbaijani Banks' Association have been involved in the preparation process," the source said.
In the long term, the use of single standards is expected in the establishment of "cloud" infrastructure of government institutions, as this is a key aspect in the formation of the "G-Cloud" (Government Cloud) platform, which was previously mentioned in the Strategic Roadmap for the development of telecommunications and information technologies. The has already been launch on creation of the 'Government Cloud'. Its implementation will reduce costs, improve the quality of service provided to citizens and ensure a reliable level of information security.
