The Bona Dea International Hospital in Baku has built its own Tier 3 data centers, a source close to the project told Trend.
The data centers use Lenovo hardware platforms and Nutanix software solutions.
The hospital operates on the SMART principle and uses the Internet of Things, blockchain technologies and cloud solutions, which make it possible to improve the quality of patient care and simplify the workflow.
The clinic has 156 beds. All hospital and operating rooms are fully automated. In the long term, 3D modeling of the human body for surgeons is envisaged. Besides, 44 emergency departments, including those for newborns, are also envisaged to be used.
Seventy-two medical applications have been integrated into the hospital’s unified information system, on the basis of which e-medical records will be created, and any patient will be able to remotely (via the portal) receive information about the results of the analyses, diagnosis, etc.
The clinic uses the resources of two fully fault tolerant Tier 3 data centers. The third data center of the hospital, a reserve one, is located 400 kilometers away from the hospital.
Approximately 80 IT services have been deployed in the hospital, and some of them are innovative. For example, the hyperlocation service, which makes it possible to determine the location of patients, newborns, personnel and hospital equipment inside the building. The information about their location is automatically redirected to the data center and a doctor receives it in a single interface after processing.
