Azerbaijani mobile operator Bakcell LLC is preparing for deployment of mobile financial services, the company told Trend.
The financial services sector is regulated by the state and there are certain rules that need to be followed, the company added.
"We are working on certain projects, about which it is too early to speak. These services may appear soon, and the traditional financial service providers should be ready for this. They will need to learn to adapt to the realities of the market. Presently, people increasingly prefer to use digital financial services," the company said.
Appearance of new digital financial services, as the company noted, depends on the legislation, on regulatory measures, and the government understands that the transition to such services is beneficial.
"For our part, we will be happy to support any state initiative related to the modernization of financial services and the provision of new ones," the company added.
