In the coming years, the LTE network of the Azerbaijani state telecom operator Aztelekom LLC will cover all districts of Azerbaijan, including remote villages as well, the company told Trend.

Presently, the operator’s LTE network operates in two villages of the Khachmaz district and it is already planned to expand the coverage there.

"On the basis of this technology, subscribers can connect to telephony and television along with high-speed internet services. The provision of IP-TV services is provided within the framework of TriplePlay. That is, in addition to interactive television, users will be provided with a telephone connection and high-speed internet access," the company said.

As previously reported, presently, IP-TV service is offered to a limited number of subscribers and to expand the number, it is necessary to purchase additional equipment.

The demand for broadband internet services in the districts is constantly growing, and as the company said, in the first nine months of 2018, the number of connections to the operator’s network increased by 16 percent. The total number of connections to the operator’s network reaches 300,000.
