By Huseyn Valiyev - Trend:

The fourth meeting of the member countries of the Cooperation Council of the Turkic Speaking States on information and communication technologies (ICT) is taking place in Kazakhstan’s Almaty city, a source in the Azerbaijani IT market told Trend Jan. 30.

Azerbaijan is represented at the meeting by the delegation of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.

“The meeting’s agenda includes issues of cooperation between the parties in the field of e-government, cybersecurity, issues of mutual recognition of e-signatures between the countries participating in the meeting,” the source noted.

“Prospects of cooperation between the parties are also considered as part of the Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway (TASIM) construction project initiated by Azerbaijan.”

Technical work on the mutual recognition of e-signatures is underway between Azerbaijan and Turkey. The work is planned to be finalized this year.

The mutual recognition of e-signatures between the countries will simplify the registration of goods during crossing borders, which is important for development of international trade relations and access to the global markets.
