He said that the ratings are determined by the International Data Corporation (IDC) every two years, and according to the latest information, Azerbaijan has improved its position by three percentage points.

“The Enterprise Agreement signed at the state level is one of the forms of our cooperation both with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and the Copyright Agency of Azerbaijan,” he said. “I would especially like to express gratitude to the Agency, since this structure has recently taken big steps in improving the position of Azerbaijan in the global rankings. This applies not only to the software market, but also to other areas of copyright, in particular, musical compositions and movies.”

It was earlier reported that according to the BSA (Business Software Alliance), the software piracy level in Azerbaijan stands at 81 percent.
