By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

There are 70,000 of Apple’s iPhones switched off every day in Iran, said Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi, Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Trend reports referring to ISNA.

According to the Iranian minister, this happened after Iranian applications were erased from the iOS system.

Azari Jahromi added that Apple is losing the Iranian market.

"However, according to statistics, 7,000 iPhones were being recorded in the country's communication system daily," he said.

Noting that the ministry pays attention to the international field for electronic economic development, the Iranian minister added that Iran is conducting serious discussions with neighboring countries in this area.

"Next year, it is planned to hold the Elecomp exhibition with the participation of ministers from several countries of the region," he said.

Azari Jahromi added that the local market is not enough for some technologies, and Iran should expand its regional presence.

Recently, Iranian applications have been deleted from Apple's App Store.
