However, the share of mobile internet users in the total number of subscribers are different. Veon Georgia is at the first place with 66 percent of its subscribers using mobile internet. Such a high indicator could be caused by the tariffs offered for mobile internet and the segment of users. According to the same data, Silknet/Geocell is second with 59 percent and Magticom is the third with 45 percent.
The indicator of mobile internet user density in Georgia is even higher and amounted to 79 percent as of 2018.
Throughout the recent years, mobile internet traffic in Georgia has been increasing at the record speed. In 2018 subscribers of mobile internet used more than 63,000 Terabytes of internet. This can be caused by the increased number of mobile internet users, the availability and the amount of new generation smartphones and the development of 4G service.
