Azerbaijan’s INNOLAND incubation & acceleration center reveals plans for 2020

The second INNOLAND incubation and acceleration center of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations under the president of Azerbaijan is planned to open in 2020, Director of INNOLAND Mammad Karim told Trend.

“We intend to open the second INNOLAND center due to a big number of applications and the growth in the number of start-ups in the country,” the head of the Center said. "The second INNOLAND Center will be located in Baku and cover a vast territory. The Center plans to support hundreds of startups within a year.”

"We also have big plans in other regions of the country, namely Ganja, Sheki and Shamakhi,” Karim said. “We held several hackathons [forums for developers, during which experts in different spheres of software development together solve a problem] in the southern region. During the year, we plan to send 12 startups to the US."

INNOLAND is an incubation, acceleration and research center created to develop the private sector, promote innovation and expand the start-up movement in Azerbaijan and beyond. Its spheres of activities include coworking, incubation, acceleration and IT training.
