MiMobile Azerbaijan: Online sales in Azerbaijan growing rapidly

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Apr. 10

By Sadraddin Agjayev - Trend:

Even before the adoption of decision related to anti-coronavirus measures in Azerbaijan, we intensified online sales, prepared and conducted a campaign with 10 percent discounts for those who will make online orders, Jumshud Aliyev, Manager Business Development at MiMobile LLC, told Trend.

Aliyev said that after the closure of stores, the direction of accepting online orders and their free delivery within the city was strengthened.

“We will also provide the opportunity to pay for goods by credit cards with a revolving credit line upon receipt of the order. This week, we began to take orders from the regions, and also conclude agreements with state organizations that will help to deliver our orders,” said Aliyev.

“Currently, we see one problem in online sales. This is the lack of sophistication of buyers: many want to be brought goods for familiarization and choice. Technically, this is difficult and disadvantageous for the company, since we need to spend a lot of time on it, more technical and human resources. Now we are working in this direction so that the buyer can get more necessary information about the product in advance,” said the manager.

Since March 2020, the most sold network devices of the company were routers, WiFi amplifiers and other devices, as well as TVs and smartphones.

Over this short period, the volume of online sales have equaled to the volumes that was before the stores closed, Aliyev said.

“Work is underway on the site to integrate the possibility of paying by cards. That is, at the moment, the buyer can make an order on the site and pay in cash upon delivery, as well as pay by credit card. Orders are accepted not only from the site, but also from the pages of social networks,” said Aliyev.

“There are no problems with online sales; they try to deliver orders on time. If this pace of sales continues after quarantine ends, we will have to use third-party delivery services or create our own courier service. Beside the delivery, our employees also help customers to study products, provide instructions, install the required software if necessary, and also carry out the registration of accounts in various services,” he noted.

“We connected the service center to online orders, that is, within the warranty period of the devices, if necessary, we will pick up such devices for repair and after completion of repair work within the warranty period we return them to the buyer. By the way, the repair work of the devices in our service center lasts a maximum of 3 days (with a few exceptions).

“We are also considering the integration of another service that will provide discounts for a specific category of customers. We will inform about this when the integration is completed,” Jumshud Aliyev said.
