A project to digitalize the state retail network has been launched in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to “Zolotoy Vek” (Golden Age) newspaper.
This project is being implemented by computer technology center of Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan and the Agzybirlik Tilsimaty company, which produced 300 sets of POS terminals for trade digitalizitation.
It is planned to transfer the country’s retail network to an electronic system by the end of 2020. All Ashgabat’s retail networks will be unified by a digital system that allows tracking movement of goods including their arrival at warehouses and sending to stores, the volume of sales and the balances.
The digital platform will help to effectively manage the trade operations and address marketing tasks.
In the future, it is planned to introduce the e-commerce system in Turkmenistan's regions in the future.
A special website with addresses, contacts, assortments and other necessary data of Ashgabat's each store will be created. According to the information, the site users will be able to place an order with delivery and get additional information in the question-answer format.
