Iran launches telecommunication projects in Isfahan Province

Iranian government has launched 1,050 projects in telecommunication sector, including the development of Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran network, through an $80-million credit, said the telecommunications district manager in Isfahan Province Esmail Ghorbani, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"The development of Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran network in Isfahan Province, development of landline and network infrastructure for data transfer in rural areas are some of the projects," said Ghorbani.

During his meeting with the Iranian President's Chief of Staff Mahmoud Vaezi, Ghorbani said that in order to develop rural communication and provide access to telecommunication services a new mobile phone station has been inaugurated in rural region of Zaman Kahriz in Padena District.

"With the new station the number of province communication sites has reached 1,600," he said.

"To develop rural communication, BTS site has been inaugurated in Darreh Badam rural district in Fereydunshahr County, 100 kilometers of optical fiber has been laid down," he said.

Vaezi has visited Isfahan on Thursday to evaluate the provincial projects and attend inauguration of series of construction and production projects that included the launch of 2 inner city railway lines in east of Isfahan, continuation of Farzanegan road construction, etc.
