The experience of the international IBA Group IT holding on the development of ‘smart’ cities in Kazakhstan can be applied for implementing similar projects in Azerbaijan, Vadim Smotryayev, director of the group’s technical department (Minsk, Belarus), told Trend on Apr.15.

According to Smotryayev, IBA Group works on the basis of a public-private partnership with the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk (Kazakhstan).

"As part of this partnership, we are implementing the IBA AFC dispatch management system and the IBA AVM automated transport payment system. This is one of the examples of our digitalization of a large Kazakh city," he added.

Speaking about the application of the Azerbaijani experience in implementing Smart City projects, which was presented at the ‘Smart Sustainable Cities: Organizational and Technical Aspects of Development’ event in Belarus, he noted that IBA Group is interested in cooperation in the field of creating smart cities in Azerbaijan.

"Our company is interested in such cooperation and we’ll consider such opportunities if we can find application of our experience and products in joint projects of Azerbaijan and Belarus," stressed Smotryayev.
