Azerbaijan has become a leader in the import of Russian telecommunications equipment in 2020, Trend reports citing the website of the mayor of Moscow city.
As reported, the share of Azerbaijan in the total export of Russian telecommunications equipment amounted to 75 percent.
At the same time, the value of import of the abovementioned Russian products by Azerbaijan made up $85.1 million.
In 2020, Kazakhstan purchased Russian telecommunications equipment worth $36.3 million, Georgia - for $28.5 million, China - for $27 million, and Belarus - for $25.7 million.
Equipment for receiving, converting, and transmitting information, parts of telephones and communication equipment, base stations, telephones with cordless handsets, and wired telephones were purchased, the government said.
For the first time, telecommunications equipment from Russia was purchased by 11 countries in Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa. The total amount of exports to these countries amounted to more than one million dollars.
