It was reported this week that the launch of Apple Pay in Azerbaijan is the strongest stimulator of the growth of contactless payments.
According to the information, VISA is working hard to help Azerbaijani banks expand this culture of payment with payment cards and learn about the possibilities of new payment methods using smartphones and other devices using "digital wallets".
In addition, it became known this week that VISA is ready to support (SMEs) of Azerbaijan in the transition to non-cash payments and in the use of financial technologies. The use of payment instruments for SMEs is a tool that allows companies to more effectively manage their cash flows, transfer cash to non-cash, as well as receive additional privileges and benefits.
It was noted that the whole range of solutions, tools and additional services of VISA is a very good driver to stimulate the use of all payment instruments by companies.
It was also reported this week that technical work on a new generation electronic signature (ES) project is being completed in Azerbaijan.
Also, work is underway to integrate the new ES into the institutions' systems. The new ES includes the technology of face recognition and "public key" (one key is used for encryption, and another for decryption). Thus, after scanning the face by means of the corresponding mobile application, the user receives an electronic signature certificate.
Moreover, this week it became known that the Croatian Span will expand its portfolio of solutions for business automation, implementation of cloud technologies, training of IT specialists and some others in the Azerbaijani market.
In addition, the company is expected to expand in the future in Azerbaijan its portfolio of services in the field of small and medium-sized businesses, introduce solutions in the field of cloud technologies of international giant companies, develop technical support, as well as service and business tools for all industries.
Span Azerbaijan is currently working on licensing Microsoft products in Azerbaijan, including the introduction of its programs and services.
