BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 23. This week it became known that Azerbaijan's Paymes startup project was teaming up with PayTabs, a payment processing company incorporated in Saudi Arabia, to enter the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Trend reports.
As part of the cooperation, Paymes Turkey and Azerbaijan offices will become the administrative centers of PayTabs' Eurasian operations.
In addition, it was reported that Azerbaijan was expected to introduce amendments to cybersecurity legislation, as well as formulate a cybersecurity development strategy for 2022-2027.
It has become known that the cybersecurity sector is included in Azerbaijan's development strategy until 2030, and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport will provide the necessary support to private companies operating in this area.
It was also reported that Azerbaijan planned to strengthen the electronic system's resistance to cyber threats. For these purposes, the country's human resources potential will be strengthened, as well as relevant projects will be implemented to enhance digitalization.
