BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 17. The average download speeds for mobile and broadband Internet access in Azerbaijan were 31.21 (a decrease of 7.22 percent compared to the previous month) and 20.89 Mbps (a decrease of 5.05 percent), respectively, in July 2022, Trend reports citing Ookla’s Open Data.
In the reporting month, the mobile data download rate dropped by 2.43 Mbps compared to the previous month. The outgoing mobile internet speeds were 9.21 Mbps, down by 8.54 percent against June 2022.
The data download speed of fixed broadband Internet access decreased by 1.11 Mbps compared to June 2022, while the outgoing speed reached 22.1 Mbps (a decrease of 6.59 percent, or 1.56 Mbps compared to the previous month).
During this period, the average speed of incoming and outgoing downloads worldwide through the mobile network totaled 30.78 and 8.55 Mbps, respectively.
In July 2022, Azerbaijan ranked 60th among 140 countries in terms of mobile data download speed and 121st among 182 countries in broadband internet data transfer speed.
