BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. The regulation of payment security issues by Azerbaijani banks is based on the international standard ISO 27001, Executive Director of Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Farid Osmanov told Trend.
According to him, this standard requires every bank to have its own security system, and control mechanisms as well as it obliges to organize the security of processes, ensure the security of payments with the participation of a third party, the security of personal data, etc.
"Moreover, in accordance with new regulations, each commercial bank, when any cyber incidents are identified, must inform the Central Bank about it. For closer contact with banks in this direction, CBA has appropriate mechanisms and a department. This department monitor and checks the security of information systems of commercial banks," Osmanov said.
